use, and protect your personal information when you use the CastIQ mobile app and related services
(collectively, the "Service"). By using CastIQ you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect

- Account Information: When you create an account we collect your email address
and any profile details you provide.
- Usage Data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with the
app — screens viewed, features used, session duration, device type, OS version, and crash reports.
This data is processed through Sentry for error tracking and performance monitoring.
- Location Data: With your permission, we may collect your precise or approximate
device location to show relevant nearby lakes and fishing conditions. You can revoke location
access at any time in your device settings. We do not sell location data.
- Purchase & Subscription Data: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment
transactions are processed by Stripe (web) and Apple In-App Purchase
(iOS). We do not store full payment card details. Subscription entitlement is managed through
RevenueCat.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To personalize your experience (e.g., default state, favorite lakes)
- To send you product updates, weekly fishing reports, and service notifications — only if you
have opted in
- To diagnose bugs and improve app performance via Sentry analytics
- To process payments and manage your subscription status
- To comply with legal obligations
Third-Party Services
CastIQ relies on trusted third-party providers. Each operates under its own privacy policy:

Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the
Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days,
except where retention is required by law.

- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.

protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot
guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes by posting
the new policy in the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes
acceptance of the updated policy.
